The recent 2023 presidential election in Nigeria left many citizens questioning the credibility and transparency of the democratic process including me. Invited to be part of a roundtable by the International Press Center under the European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EUSDGN) Project. This presents an opportunity to emphasize the significance of credible elections and the urgent need to restore trust in our democratic system. To regain the confidence of the citizens, transparency, accountability, and fairness in our electoral processes must be prioritize. This includes comprehensive electoral reforms, independent oversight mechanisms, and an unbiased judicial system.
